Estimating Features for Landscape Construction Jobs

Here’s all you can do when you estimate landscape construction jobs:

  1. View and Manage Assemblies

    • Access a service that includes various assemblies, which may contain a combination of different items such as materials, labor, and equipment.

  2. Quick Update for Bulk Actions

    • Use the "Quick Update" option for efficiency.

    • Click on "Quick Update" to view all categorized materials, labor, and equipment.

    • To adjust values uniformly for all materials, select the appropriate check box, enter the new value, and click "Save."

  3. Adjust Unit Costs

    • Review and adjust unit costs for labor and equipment as needed.

    • Make differentiated value adjustments in one convenient location.

    • Click "Save" to record changes and update calculations.

  4. Consult the Summary

    • Click on the "Summary" option located at the top right corner.

    • Review total costs, labor hours, equipment hours, tax percentage, and price for a quick overview of the estimate.

  5. Implement Overhead Recovery

    • Add overhead recovery at the entire estimate level or specific project level using the "All" option.

    • Assign overhead percentages to categories like materials or adjust overhead rates for equipment.

    • Click "Save" to calculate and reflect overhead recovery dollar amounts within the price section.

  6. Send Estimate for Review

    • Use the option at the bottom to submit the estimate for review.

    • Share access with users in the system, optionally adding a customized message.

    • Click "Share" to make the estimate accessible to specified users for edits or comments.

  7. Add and Manage Comments

    • Add comments at either the project or service level using the comment feature at the top right corner.

    • Enter your message and click "Send" to incorporate it into the estimate.

    • Review comments in the "View Comments" section, seeing who commented, when, and what was said.

    • Mark comments as resolved once addressed, and filter comments by resolved/unresolved status, user, or text search.

  8. Attach Notes and Files

    • Click on the arrow to expand the top panel for attaching notes and files.

    • Add notes and attach relevant files which will remain within the estimate.

    • Click "Save" to securely save these notes and attachments.
