Hello! Today, we're demonstrating how to resubmit a takeoff in the Beam AI automated takeoff platform. There can be three scenarios where resubmission might be necessary. We will discuss each one in this video.

To resubmit a completed takeoff, navigate to the takeoff and have it open. Then, click on the button labeled 'Resubmit and Addendum.' A window will open presenting three separate options:

The first option is for when you have received addendums and want the software to automatically detect changes in the plans.

Select 'Add addendums for these plans' from the menu. Then, input your instructions — for example, you could type "Take off all the revisions." Click 'Proceed to upload plans,' upload the new files, and hit 'Submit.'

The software will process the output for you, just like it does for a normal takeoff. Once complete, you will receive an email notification to review the results.

The second option is for when you want to request a takeoff of new workable sheets. For instance, if you initially asked for quantities only for Floor 1 and now you need quantities for Floor 2, you can type "Takeoff quantities for Floor 2," and click 'Submit.' The software will process these new sheets, and you will receive a notification once the takeoff is complete.

The third option is if you spot any errors or mistakes in your original takeoff and want us to make corrections. Select this option, type a description of the issues you discovered, and upload any supporting images if needed. Then click 'Submit,' and we will prioritize correcting your takeoff at no extra charge.
