So once you log in, you're going to enter the address of the property you wish to measure, same way you would if you were entering a property for AutoMeasure. You'll select the search button and it will take you over to our lot boundary screen.

So again, these are set by municipal tax records, so from time to time you may need to adjust them. You can adjust them the same way you do with our automated takeoffs:

In the edit mode of the takeoff

You can select edit boundary.

You can drop points along the boundary and expand or reduce the size of that boundary.

You can add an additional boundary which will allow you to measure inside another area not connected to the original boundary.

You can also delete a boundary and recreate your own.

Lets start with delete a boundary

1. So simply click on delete, grab the boundary you wish to delete and it removes it automatically. Once your lot boundary is set, you'll go over to our drop down menu, scroll all the way to the bottom and select manual measurements. From there you'll confirm your lot boundary and review your takeoff. It gives you a brief overview and then from there you'll click proceed. Now you're ready to create your manual measurement.

2. So in order to add features to this area, we click on edit takeoff, add feature and these little blue arrows are going to populate on the right hand side of the feature list. So to create an area of lawn, I click on this blue arrow, I can scroll in and now I can outline my turf area and the system will save those measurements for me. If I need to scroll over and do a mulch bed, I can grab that arrow and measure out the mulch bed.

3. Now if there is a new feature that needs to be created that does not exist on this property feature list, I can again click on edit takeoff and I have the option to create a surface area of my own. So I can click on create a new surface area, type in that surface area that I wish to measure and now surface areas will be measured by square feet.

It's a quick overview of how to create a manual measurement within our system.
